ospitalita — Altavilla Silentina · Campania
Amid the hills of the Salerno hinterland, where silence still belongs to the countryside, an old restored masseria (traditional farmhouse) opens its doors with the simplicity of those who know how to offer hospitality without calculation. Altavilla Silentina, in the green heart of the province of Salerno.
The window looks out onto a horizon of hills that the Salerno hinterland lets slope down toward the Sele plain. The building is a historic masseria, fully restored: thick walls, clean air, a silence that reaches all the way into the rooms. A structure that still bears the marks of its agricultural past, transformed into a place to stay without losing its character.
From the balcony you sense the measure of this place: nothing anonymous, nothing standardized. The agriturismo is run by Pasquale and his wife Maria, the cook, who brings to the table the flavours of Campania tradition — a rich antipasto, three first courses, a trio of meats, and a parmigiana that guests remember by name. You feel at home here, and it is not just a phrase.
The six rooms are simple in taste and carefully looked after: fresh sheets, uncompromising cleanliness, that morning light which in hillside masserie has a quality all its own. The venue also organizes weddings, birthdays and business dinners. A swimming pool with sun loungers and umbrellas rounds out the offer, designed with families and children in mind too.
The page describes in detail the rooms, the kitchen and availability for events: everything you need to plan a stay in the Salerno hinterland.
