On the Agerola plateau, where the Monti Lattari watch over the gulf from afar, a workshop brings together the restoration of artistic heritage and the goldsmith's art: two disciplines that demand the same patience with materials and the same respect for what time has built.
In Agerola, on the plateau of the Monti Lattari, the Ager Restauri Arte Orafa workshop holds a rare double vocation: the restoration of artistic heritage and goldsmith craftsmanship. Every intervention begins with reading the ancient material — pigments, fibres, gilding — even before the hand moves.
The restoration of a wooden statue from the mid-seventeenth century, of the Salerno school, is among the workshop's documented projects: a work carried out by Giovanni Pisacane and Angelantonio Pio Pisacane together with Giuseppe Fusco, returning to the territory a devotional artefact of its own history.
At the goldsmith's bench, the workshop's other soul takes shape. Giovanni Pisacane has worked as a restorer goldsmith since 2018, with training that joins classical goldsmith technique to the restorer's sensibility: two kinds of knowledge that feed each other on the very same workbench.
From the seventeenth-century statue to the commissioned jewel, the workshop on Via Piano accompanies every work with the same artisan care. The page tells the details.
