Un locale presso il quale poter assaggiare tantissimi prodotti preparati con ingredienti che vengono reperiti direttamente sul territorio: la carne è macinata fresca tutti i giorni da una macelleria di Poggio Rusco; il pane fresco dell’hamburger quotidianamente reperito dai forni di Borgo Mantovano (Villa Poma); pizza al taglio, piadine e tigelle sono tirate a mano tutti i giorni per mantenere freschezza e qualità migliore.

Gusto, eventi, qualità

Un vero e proprio punto di riferimento per quanti vogliono godere di alcune specifiche bontà che vengono preparate con tanto amore e passione dagli chef, per una gustosa cena con eventi di musica live o un pranzo veloce di qualità. La proposta gastronomica di questo locale è maggiormente indirizzata verso tipologie di cibo che possono essere consumati non solo al tavolo ma anche per strada; la conservazione naturale mantiene il gusto intatto anche se l’hamburger viaggia fino a Ostiglia o Mirandola, specialmente se accompagnata dalla nostra rinomata birra artigianale!

Ciao! Siamo un bistro pub che offre un’esperienza di condivisione e di comunità. La nostra proposta si basa sulla qualità dei nostri prodotti, che sono freschi e a Km0, la simpatia delle persone, e l’energia della musica.

La nostra storia inizia nel 2018, quando io e il mio amico abbiamo deciso di aprire Carpe Diem. Prima di questo, facevo il direttore di un supermercato, ma ho sempre avuto la passione per l’organizzazione di feste. All’inizio, non avevo intenzione di aprire un locale con cucina, ma le cose sono andate diversamente. Siamo stati in grado di creare un luogo di ritrovo dove i nostri clienti possono rilassarsi e divertirsi insieme.

Sono una persona che ama mettersi in gioco e che crede nella qualità dei prodotti che offriamo. Ho fatto la scuola alberghiera e ho organizzato feste da 100/120 persone. Sono sempre stato convinto che il valore di un prodotto sta nella sua qualità e nella passione che ci metti nel realizzarlo. Siamo qui per offrirti un’esperienza unica e indimenticabile.

The Coach House Restaurant

Once a Coach house to the nearby Manor, this hidden restaurant tucked away in the grounds of the Garden Centre has an old world charm all of its own and has been a favourite for  discerning diners for nearly thirty years.

A wide choice of excellent dishes are on the menu with our produce fresh from the market daily. Our fine wine list complements the menu perfectly, and a special two-course menu is available at lunchtimes.

Ruxley Manor Garden Centre, within which lies The Coach House restaurant.

Way back in 1080, William the Conqueror gave the land at Rokesle, as it was then known, to his half-brother, Odo, Bishop of Baieux. He rented this out to a certain Malgerius who assumed the name Malgerius of Rokesdale. At that time, eight knights commanded by William were given the task of defending Dover Castle and Malgerius did his annual twenty-day stint.

To this day, you still enter Dover Castle through the Ruxley gate.

Down the ages, various families have occupied the Manor House. Gregory de Rokesdale became Lord Mayor of the City of London from 1274 to 1285, this being perpetuated in a tablet on the wall of Lloyds Bank in Lombard Street. The present house dates from the 17th Century with later additions, although some of the interior is probably 15th or 16th Century.

To the right of the house is a large Mulberry tree which goes back to between 1610AD and 1615AD, when it was decreed in James 1st time that all landowners should be encouraged to produce silk. However, silkworms only enjoyed white mulberries and, unfortunately, the blue variety was planted.

Today, the Manor House has been converted into a Children’s Day Nursery under the name of Grace’s, she being the last member of the family to live there.

L’offerta gastronomica si basa sulla selezione delle materie prime e sulla realizzazione di una cucina tradizionale di qualità. La giovane gestione lo rende il luogo ideale di aggregazione che “ti fa sentire a casa” e che permette di trascorrere una serata all’insegna del buon cibo e del buon vino.

Matteo, Alex e tutto lo staff vi aspettano alla Batana: i nostri Chef rivisitano le ricette locali più tipiche all'insegna del gusto e della creatività: la fantasia in cucina aggiunge ai piatti quella ricercatezza in più, che accende lo stupore e gratifica il palato.

Ciao!

My name is Antonio Vetrano. The concept for my restaurant is to follow my traditional Italian, family values, along with my experiences that I’ve had in Italy and England, to deliver quality, Italian cuisine, within a relaxed, friendly environment.

The vision of my kitchen is to keep the Italian cuisine as authentic as possible, but in my own style.

For me, the kitchen is my passion, my dedication and I always ensure my food contains simple, fresh ingredients, that are tasty, and as authentic, as possible.

Over the years, I have been fortunate to work in a variety of Italian restaurants in the local area, and this has enabled me to enter food awards such as, the Food Porn and Italian awards. These experiences have enabled me to refine my dishes.

I have lived in Padiham over 14 years, and I never thought the restaurant that I dreamed of, would only be five minutes away, from my home.
