About Carlo
I was born in Sorrento and started to work in the kitchen at a young age. Cooking has always been my passion and my dream has always been to own a restaurant – finally my wish came true in the beautiful picturesque village of Boston Spa Wetherby!
As my mama used to say :

Our Story
The opening of Angelo's Brick Oven Pizzeria in November 2017 was a dream come true for Angelo Catalano.
Born in Piazza Armerina, Sicily, food, family and friends have always held great importance to Angelo.
Angelo and his sister spent hours around the table eating Mama's and Nonna's favorite recipes and in their Dad's deli gaining an appreciation for quality ingredients, proven recipes and delicious food!
At a tender age, Angelo donned an apron and worked in the kitchen honing his skills as a chef and his LOVE of food!
Moving to California and working in the food industry for over 15 years, he has earned a reputation for his excellent customer service, attention to detail and personal and friendly personality.
When Angelo began planning his restaurant, he wanted to create a restaurant that was casual, warm and inviting serving the best Italian food, brick oven pizza and homemade pasta, fresh salads and other delicacies.
The Italian deli offers high-quality meats, cheeses and generous take out meals.

In 2020, Angelo realized another dream of becoming an American citizen and named a pizza in celebration! I nostri cuochi sono Romani, ai fornelli comanda nonna Iris, capo chef di 92 anni che si divide ancora oggi nei suoi 4 ristoranti tra Roma e Milano.
Nei nostri ristoranti si cucinano solo prodotti BIOLOGICI: con Antonia e Rita al mattarello si stende FARINA MACINATA ANCORA A PIETRA a tutte le ore del giorno e della sera, per servirti pasta fresca fatta al momento.
I nostri mastri fornai ogni mattina preparano il pane, le crostate, e tutti i nostri dolci.
I fritti sono fatti in padella con olio extravergine di oliva proveniente da frantoi umbri e toscani, si friggono i supplì, le crocchette e le olive ascolane che facciamo noi, e ad ogni fritto si cambia l’olio.
Da noi si condisce il tutto con:
GUANCIALI di Norcia stagionati 6 mesi, con UOVA BIOLOGICHE di gallina di campagna, con PARMIGIANO DELLE VACCHE ROSSE 48 MESI DI STAGIONATURA: sono vacche che producono poco latte e che per fare una forma se mungono 550 litri di latte.
PECORINO VERO ROMANO, proveniente dai nostri allevamenti.
MOZZARELLA DI VERA BUFALA DI BATTIPAGLIA. DALLE NOSTRE CAMPAGNE ci arrivano Abbacchi, Galletti, Conigli e Maialini, Ricotte squisite che potete assaporare nei nostri Ravioli e nella nostra torta con ricotta e cioccolata.
