La storia di Gianluigi Del Vescovo è un esempio di come la passione e l’impegno iniziali possono portare a una carriera culinaria di successo. Dai suoi primi esperimenti con il gelato alle creazioni gourmet presso i suoi ristoranti, la sua storia dimostra quanto sia possibile raggiungere risultati straordinari quando si segue la propria passione e ci si impegna al massimo nel proprio lavoro.

Gianluigi Del Vescovo

Gianluigi Del Vescovo ha iniziato il suo percorso nel mondo della ristorazione sin dall’età di soli 11 anni, quando ha iniziato a lavorare presso la gelateria di suo padre, conosciuta come “Il Mago del Gelato”. Fin da giovane, Gianluigi ha dimostrato una straordinaria passione per la creazione di gelati unici, come quelli a forma di spaghetti, uova al tegamino e molte altre delizie.

La sua dedizione al lavoro è stata evidente fin dall’inizio, e questa costante determinazione lo ha portato, all’età di 25 anni, a intraprendere una significativa svolta nella sua carriera culinaria. Ha inaugurato il suo primo locale, il “Royal Ceres Pub”, parte del marchio Ceres d’Italia, dove ha continuato a perfezionare le sue competenze culinarie grazie alla collaborazione con chef come Peppone ed Enrico.

Con il passare del tempo, la sua passione per la ristorazione si è ulteriormente sviluppata, portandolo all’apertura de “La Locanda”, un luogo ideale per accogliere banchetti e cerimonie speciali, offrendo un’esperienza culinaria eccezionale a tutti i suoi ospiti. Tuttavia, il successo di Gianluigi Del Vescovo non si è fermato qui. Ha poi intrapreso una nuova avventura come proprietario e promotore de “Il Penelope”, un risto-pub situato a Frosinone, che ha riscosso notevole successo nella sua comunità.

Our History

Luis Mena always had the dream of coming to America andachieving the American dream. Luis arrived in the USA at the age of 17, full ofdreams and desire to work and be part of this country, a country where dreamscome true... America. He soon developed a passion for the art of food, flavors,and the culture of the restaurant world.

For several years, Luis was working for different restaurants, looking for a better future, but most importantly… looking for his passion. On one occasion, Luis had the opportunity to travel to Italy. On his trip he was able to learn more about the culture and art of Italian food, its wines and its essence in general, from the north of Italy to the south inSicily.

Luis Mena has always been a man of challenges and one ofthem was opening a restaurant of his own with his wonderful wife Claudia Menathat has been one of their dreams since they met. Their dream came true onSeptember of 2019 in Rancho Santa Margarita.

WELCOME TO VENETO RESTAURANT

Veneto Restaurant is one of the few authentic Italian restaurants in Chania. It is located at one of the most popular streets of the town, in a Venetian building of the 15th century.

The noble and romantic atmosphere of Veneto, in combination to the unique dishes, place the restaurant among the bests of its kind.

The experienced chef of Veneto prepares dishes that satisfy even the most demanding palate, without forgetting every day’s special. Most customers take under serious consideration his opinion on what to order.

There is a wide variety of appetizers, pasta and first courses. But no one can leave the restaurant without trying the desserts made by our chef.

The Restaurant

Situated on the bustling Glasgow Road and just a stone’s throw from Barshaw Park, Caffé Royale has become a thriving destination for excellent Italian cuisine in Paisley and beyond.

Established in 2016 but overseen as a family run operation since 2019, the restaurant pulls off the impressive feat of being stylish and contemporary while retaining a transportive quaintness which will immerse everyone that enters in the joy of the dining experience.

On top of its friendly and attentive staff are pivotal in creating the endearingly comfortable ambiance that's come to be one of its calling cards, what makes this eatery unique is the authenticity of its food.

Our Head Chef

After undertaking a professional pilgrimage in the 1980’s, head chef Colin Guthrie has immersed himself in the traditions and techniques of the mediterranean nation of Italy.

An enthusiastic student of his craft who learned under the tutelage of Sicilian chefs in Corleone, this all important period of hands-on training was supplemented by spending time in the markets of Palermo and getting a rare glimpse into the homespun methods of the mamma’s and nonna’s whose tried and tested methods have fed generations of families.

Inspired by the teachings of the old country, there is nothing mass-produced about what we do. Everything is cooked to order and as such, patience can often be a virtue as we always strive to deliver the most rewarding and flavourful visit that we can.

Our Food

Fusing the best local produce with select important items which imbue our food with the unmistakable quality of genuine Italian cooking, it goes without saying that no matter what time you pop in and what menu you choose to eat from, we prioritise freshness and always strive to outdo ourselves.

An establishment that is never stationary, our ever-changing specials menu ensures that we’re in a constant state of evolution and there’s always something new to tempt you when you pay your next visit.

Above all, our focus resides in delivering good food and good times. And if we can do that, then we can be content in the knowledge that we’ve done our job.
