The story behind Ristorante la Vela is as unique as the food we serve. A mixture of passion, determination and hard work, paved the way for our restaurant over a decade ago.

Ristorante La Vela as a concept was conceived by Michelle Muscat back in 2008. Accountant by profession, Muscat comes from a food-loving family with a long history in the catering business. La Vela started out as a hobby, however by time, it became a full-time job infused with much passion and dedication.

Through persistence and hard work, Michelle Muscat along with her team of talented chefs, created a place where wonder and amazement are merged into one, a place where you can enjoy a lovely meal and a great time.

This popular dining spot is not only known for its atmospheric ambience, but also for the wonderful dishes which are served to customers. Ristorante La Vela is known for hosting a number of celebrities including many popular singers, actors and football personalities from all over the world.

Meet Our Dedicated Chefs
Enrico

Originally from Scicli, Ragusa where he studied the art of cooking, Enrico has joined the restaurant when he was 21 years old. He has grown with the restaurant for the past nine years and with his unlimited passion and dedication Enrico has proven time after time his talent for cooking.

Enrico is our head chef and together with Vincenzo he is pleasantly surprising our customers with new specialities each week.

Vincenzo

Vincenzo is from Ispica, Sicily, and has been with La Vela for over five years now. His delicious dishes speak for his love and passion for food loud and clear. Coming from Ispica, where he went to catering school, Vincenzo has not only knowledge and skills but also great intuition.

The art of combining flavours and creating mouthwatering compositions has no secrets from him, which he has proven many times.

Ristorante - Pizzeria

Pizza Chef Riccardo, a native of Abruzzo, Italy, was trained under World Pizza Champions and Master Instructors, Graziano Bertuzzo and Gianni Pompetti.  He immigrated to America along with him his dream of bringing a high quality pizza using the finest ingredients to the New York Metro area. 

Together with his wife, Anna and brother in law Frank L'arte della Pizza Brooklyn was born.  Your go to spot for gourmet pizza by the slice or pie. Every slice and every dish is made with love. Every customer is considered part of our pizza family.  Benvenuto nella nostra famiglia!

Das Restaurant

Direkt am Meer gelegen und mit wunderschönen Terrassenplätzen
an der malerischen Strandpromenade versehen, bietet das Essbar ein unvergessliches Erlebnis für alle Sinne.

Besonders kulinarisch verspricht die neapolitanische Küche eine regelrechte Verführung des Gaumens. Eine Empfehlung des Hauses ist ein Besuch in den frühen Abendstunden, wenn die Sonne langsam ins Meer gleitet und den Himmel dabei in ein wunderbares Rot färbt – ein Anblick, der übrigens bei keinem Borkum-Urlaub fehlen darf.

Unsere Pizza

Wenn ein Italiener ein Restaurant eröffnet, darf ein Gericht auf seiner Speisekarte nicht fehlen: Pizza. Die italienische Nationalspeise hat eine jahrhundertealte Tradition, mit der auch Leonardo Iannantouni und sein Team nicht brechen.

Rund 40 verschiedene Pizza-Sorten stehen auf der Speisekarte der Essbar. Darunter befinden sich selbstverständlich die beliebte Pizza Quattro Stagioni oder die Pizza Magherita. Aber auch gewagtere Variationen wie die Pizza Maruzella mit Bananen, Schinken und Gorgonzola sind im Essbar zu haben. Ob klassisch, mit Meeresfrüchten oder für fleischlos: Hier findet jeder Gast seine Lieblingspizza.

Alle Pizzen werden nach italienischem Original-Rezept frisch zubereitet.

Cocktailbar

Gibt es denn etwas Schöneres als im Sonnenuntergang gemütlich einen Cocktail zu schlürfen? Die wohl beste Möglichkeit, um ein solch tollen Augenblich zu erleben, bietet die einladende Terrasse des Essbar am Musikpavillion.

Nat?rlich darf hier auch keine Cocktailbar fehlen und so besticht das Essbar mit einer riesigen Auswahl an hervorragend gemixten Drinks mit oder ohne Alkohol. Sie haben nun auch Lust bekommen, eine Caipirinha, einen Sex on the Beach oder einen anderen Sundowner zu sich zu nehmen. Einer der einladenden Terrassenplätze wartet sicherlich schon auf Sie.

Unsere Speisen

Ob mit Frühstück, Bruschetta, Pizza, Pasta, Entrecote, Tiramisu oder original italienischen Eis – der erfahrene Restaurantleiter Leonardo Iannantouni aus Süditalien versteht es, seine Gäste mit Köstlichkeiten aus seiner Heimat zu verzaubern.

Und tatsächlich läuft einem beim Anblick der reichhaltigen Speisekarte sofort das Wasser im Mund zusammen. Von Fischspezialitäten über Entrecote mit gemischten Pilzen und Zwiebeln, Spaghetti, Gambas mit Sherrytomaten und Rucola, Pizza mit Parmaschinken bis hin zu den großen Frühstücksangeboten ? im der Essbar findet jeder, was sein Herz und Magen begehren!

Vendita tartufi freschi e produzione a base di tartufo (olii, creme, salse, ecc...). Vastissima gamma di prodotti enogastonomici abruzzesi come formaggi, salumi, insaccati, vini, miele, ecc.

L’Osteria Montellori ubicata all’interno della Fattoria Montellori nasce nel 1987 da l'idea di accogliere i visitatori della cantina per la degustazione del vino

Da settembre 2023 l’osteria cambia volto fondendo la tradizione con uno stile contemporaneo. Il patron-Chef Francesco Pannullo dopo una lunga traiettoria professionale che lo ha portato a far parte dell’Associazione Italiana Cuochi vincendo nel 2022 e 2023 la medaglia d’oro ai Campionati della Cucina Italiana a squadre, con l’aiuto della moglie e del figlio ha innovato il locale affiancando ai piatti storici, sapori nuovi che auguriamo possano piacevolmente sorprendervi.

Il ristorante Il Giardino propone cucina tradizionale rivisitata in chiave moderna, piatti dai sapori familiari ma allo stesso tempo nuovi ed equilibrati.

Il ristorante offre alla clientela salumi tipici toscani, pasta e dolci fatti in casa e specialità di carne preparate con cura ed utilizzando le migliori materie prime, assecondando la stagionalità e la freschezza dei prodotti.

I piatti sono accompagnati da una ricca e completa carta dei vini sia della zona di Montalcino che di altre zone d'Italia.

Il ristorante Il Giardino dispone di un grazioso dehors ed è, inoltre, luogo ideale per rinfreschi e cerimonie.

Ristorante e Pizzeria Il Timone, Cucina Italiana di qualità!
Il Timone apre i suoi battenti intorno al 1960 quando Portovenere non aveva ancora raggiunto l'interesse turistico odierno. Lo creano e lo conducono sino alla fine degli anni '80 Marino e Toni offrendo ai loro clienti i piatti della tradizione ligure uniti al piatto italiano per eccellenza: la pizza.
Oggi sul percorso creato dai genitori, Antonella continua la tradizione in un locale totalmente rinnovato ma nei tipici toni della Liguria.

Il timone è la giusta meta per gustare i sapori e le atmosfere della cucina ligure.
Ideale per un aperitivo offerto dalle 18,00 in poi con vini e gastronomia ligure o per una cena dai più diversi toni.
Ottimo per l'organizzazione di compleanni pomeridiani con la formula a buffet, o tradizionali con l'offerta delle gustose pizze create dall'alta professionalità di Antonella già esponente di punta del settore pizza e attualmente Presidente dell'Associazione Pizza Planet - Scienza e Cultura della Pizza.

Interessante per gruppi sino ad un massimo di 50 persone un'offerta di menù aperitivo con vini e gastronomia ligure da 7 euro, e cena a partire da 15 euro.
