Our Head Chef
After undertaking a professional pilgrimage in the 1980’s, head chef Colin Guthrie has immersed himself in the traditions and techniques of the mediterranean nation of Italy.
An enthusiastic student of his craft who learned under the tutelage of Sicilian chefs in Corleone, this all important period of hands-on training was supplemented by spending time in the markets of Palermo and getting a rare glimpse into the homespun methods of the mamma’s and nonna’s whose tried and tested methods have fed generations of families.
Inspired by the teachings of the old country, there is nothing mass-produced about what we do. Everything is cooked to order and as such, patience can often be a virtue as we always strive to deliver the most rewarding and flavourful visit that we can.

Fusing the best local produce with select important items which imbue our food with the unmistakable quality of genuine Italian cooking, it goes without saying that no matter what time you pop in and what menu you choose to eat from, we prioritise freshness and always strive to outdo ourselves.

AUTENTISK ITALIENSK; MED ET SMIL PA LABEN
Stemningen er hyggelig og uformel med masser af energi. Her far du italiensk mad, som mamma ville tilberede det. Brodrene Andrea og Pachi laver autentisk antipasti, pasta, secondo og dolce, serveret enkelt og med masser af smag, som deres mor serverede det for dem i Italien.
Mest kendte er de for deres antipasti bræt med et udvalg af italienske specialiteter.
Godt handvark og starke kokkentraditioner er afgorende, for at alle måltider bliver en autentisk italiensk oplevelse, der stimulerer sanserne.
Men, det er ikke kun smagslogene, vi mener. Vores mad skal dufte himmelsk, og vores ojne skal forkales med farverige kombinationer af sasonbestemte ingredienser. Det er vores mal, hver gang vi serverer mad til vores gaster.
Det italienske kokken er mangfoldigt, og maden pa Trattoria SUD er ingen undtagelse.
Sportzentrum Innichen – San Candido
In una splendida posizione ai piedi dell'area escursionistica e sciistica del monte Baranci, ti attende il Centro Sportivo San Candido: qui il benessere e il buon gusto sono all’ordine del giorno. Puoi gustare piatti deliziosi nell’ accogliente ristorante, sulla terrazza e nel piccolo giardino.
Il menu con i piatti della regione delle 3 Cime/3 Zinnen Dolomiti è decisamente promettente! Dalle varie insalate, ai canederli fatti in casa, ai piatti di pasta, al gulasch e all'entrecôte fino ai dessert, ogni buongustaio troverà ciò che desidera. Un punto forte della cucina è l'ampia scelta di pizze (solo la sera) preparate nel forno a carbone.
L'impasto della pizza, fatto in casa e condito con prodotti freschi e regionali, convince tutti: classica, calzone, bianca o vegetariana. La valutazione degli ospiti è significativa: "Ottima pizza e servizio veloce! In breve, meraviglioso!".
