The Restaurant

Situated on the bustling Glasgow Road and just a stone’s throw from Barshaw Park, Caffé Royale has become a thriving destination for excellent Italian cuisine in Paisley and beyond.

Established in 2016 but overseen as a family run operation since 2019, the restaurant pulls off the impressive feat of being stylish and contemporary while retaining a transportive quaintness which will immerse everyone that enters in the joy of the dining experience.

On top of its friendly and attentive staff are pivotal in creating the endearingly comfortable ambiance that's come to be one of its calling cards, what makes this eatery unique is the authenticity of its food.

Our Head Chef

After undertaking a professional pilgrimage in the 1980’s, head chef Colin Guthrie has immersed himself in the traditions and techniques of the mediterranean nation of Italy.

An enthusiastic student of his craft who learned under the tutelage of Sicilian chefs in Corleone, this all important period of hands-on training was supplemented by spending time in the markets of Palermo and getting a rare glimpse into the homespun methods of the mamma’s and nonna’s whose tried and tested methods have fed generations of families.

Inspired by the teachings of the old country, there is nothing mass-produced about what we do. Everything is cooked to order and as such, patience can often be a virtue as we always strive to deliver the most rewarding and flavourful visit that we can.

Fusing the best local produce with select important items which imbue our food with the unmistakable quality of genuine Italian cooking, it goes without saying that no matter what time you pop in and what menu you choose to eat from, we prioritise freshness and always strive to outdo ourselves.

Offriamo una cucina prevalentemente di pesce in una location incantevole, direttamente sul mare. Da noi si possono ammirare di giorno le sfumature del cielo che si riflette nel blu e di sera quelle del tramonto.
In questa attività si racchiudono trent'anni di esperienza nel settore sempre con l'obiettivo di trasmettere ai clienti la passione per la buona cucina con un risultato di freschezza e genuità.

 IL LOCALE
Abbiamo a disposizione una grande sala con ampie vetrate per dare luminosità e godere della splendida vista sul mare.
Nel periodo estivo mettiamo a disposizione la nostra veranda all'aperto per poter stare ancora più vicini alla spiaggia, goderne suoni e odori e di sera ammirare i colori del tramonto.

La nostra cucina, prevalentemente di pesce, crede nella qualità e nel sapore delle materie prime. Per questo ogni giorno offriamo il pescato del giorno, preparato al momento, con tanta dedizione, nel corso della giornata. Ricette semplici per valorizzarlo al meglio ed esaltarne il sapore. Si può accompagnare con una carta dei vini ricca di bottiglie ricercate e un`ottima spina.

Ristorante Il Mulino a Varazze

Il Ristorante Il Mulino a Varazze si trova in Via E. Vecchia, 3 a circa 1,5 km nell’entroterra risalendo il fiume Teiro sulla Strada Provinciale per Sassello. Il locale sorge su un antico Mulino risalente al 1200 che, ancora nei primi anni del '900, manteneva la sua funzione di frantoio. Il cuoco Massimiliano Zanella è uno chef di livello internazionale che ama stupire i propri clienti con piatti unici, fatti solo con prodotti freschissimi. Ognuno è selezionato con cura: il pesce viene acquistato ogni mattina prima dell'alba in modo da essere servito freschissimo, mentre i formaggi e le verdure provengono da aziende locali, frutto di agricoltura biologica e di un allevamento naturale. Questa particolare attenzione al prodotto ha conferito al Ristorante Il

Mulino di Zanella M. & C. S.a.s a Varazze il Marchio di Qualità conferito da Ospitalità Italiana, e quello di Ristorante del Cuore. Quest’ultimo riconoscimento identifica una serie di ristoranti in cui si possono scegliere delle pietanze che rispettano le regole di una buona alimentazione, attenta alla prevenzione cardiovascolare. Questo tipo di cucina è consigliata per le persone che hanno già avuto un problema cardiovascolare, ma è indicato anche per quelle che scelgono uno stile di vita sano. I ristoratori che hanno aderito a questa iniziativa hanno partecipato a specifici corsi ad indirizzo alimentare, finalizzati alla prevenzione dell'aterosclerosi e delle malattie cardiovascolari. Si sono inoltre impegnati a cucinare cibi a basso contenuto di grassi e di colesterolo, non troppo calorici, ponendo particolare attenzione ai condimenti e alle modalità di cottura consigliate.

A seconda della stagione e dell'ispirazione, lo chef Zanella propone delle serate a tema che spaziano dalla cucina tipica piemontese o del Trentino, alla cucina vegetariana a quella giapponese. Tanta cucina tradizionale ma non mancano neppure i piatti fusion per i palati più curiosi, come ad esempio la tempura di verdure con calice di crema al peperone e pane alla soia. Ristorante Il Mulino di Zanella M. & C. S.a.s offre ai suoi clienti anche una vasta scelta di vini a prezzi modici, con una cantina fornita da più di 40 etichette acquistate direttamente dal produttore. Inoltre, il vino è venduto anche a bicchiere, mentre chi ha pagato la bottiglia intera ma non l’ha finita può portarla a casa con sé.

Pizza Chef Riccardo, a native of Abruzzo, Italy, was trained under World Pizza Champions and Master Instructors, Graziano Bertuzzo and Gianni Pompetti.  He immigrated to America along with him his dream of bringing a high quality pizza using the finest ingredients to the New York Metro area. 

Together with his wife, Anna and brother in law Frank L'arte della Pizza Brooklyn was born.  Your go to spot for gourmet pizza by the slice or pie. Every slice and every dish is made with love. Every customer is considered part of our pizza family.  Benvenuto nella nostra famiglia!

Volare Restaurants Ltd has been trading since 2007, and still improving the customer experience as the restaurant has been refurbished with a new suspended ceiling and a new bar... We always strive to give you the best Italian produce at  good value for money during these times of economic hardship. Partners and Hosts Onofrio Maimone and Cinzia Lopalco say "When you come to our place, we'll make all efforts to make sure you feel like you are on holiday in Italy for as long as your stay!".

Onofrio is from Sicily and has an extensive experience in catering. He's been working in the trade all his life and is the chef/proprietor of the establishment.

Cinzia is from Puglia and has been managing holiday farms, where she's learnt the trade and all the aspects of day to day running of kitchen and front of house. In the kitchen, Jason Maimone is our head chef in the kitchen and has followed in Onofrios footsteps and has learnt everything there is to know from his father, he is very talented, very motivated to keep high standards and eager to takeover one day along with his wife Victoria Maimone who is once again very talented in the front of house and she strives to make everyone feel welcomeand enjoy their meal or special occasions with us

At Volare, we have excellent food and a large Wine list to choose from. We source our ingredients locally and the rest is imported from Italy through a network of leading distributors.All this mixed with family style service gives you a true authentic taste of real Italy!
