Dai primi show cooking nelle piazze italiane, fino alle collaborazioni nei festival più importanti d’Italia, porta in scena la cultura gastronomica del nostro Paese con ironia, cuore e professionalità.

Ogni evento è un’esplosione di sapori e coinvolgimento: ricette della tradizione, showcooking dal vivo, aperipasta, incontri con studenti e con il pubblico, sempre con lo stesso obiettivo – far riscoprire il valore della vera cucina italiana. Un’idea nata da un sogno, coltivata con sacrificio e resa grande dal sorriso di chi, davanti a un piatto di pasta, si sente a casa.

Abbiamo iniziato la nostra avventura nel 2005 , con l'apertura del ristorante la spiga giarre ed il successo è stato eccezionale il locale di Gianluca, Filippo e Giuseppe è orami un punto di ritrovo per la città e non solo...

Nel nostro locale troverete sempre piatti e cibi genuini dal gusto unico e inconfondibile , prodotti rigorosamente freschi e selezionati accuratamente, dal pesce, alla carne, alle verdure, ai funghi freschi coltivati, ai salumi e formaggi.

Non abbiamo MAI voluto industrializzare i processi di produzione, perchè ci avrebbe portato a produrre piatti precotti e salse pronte.

Siamo nati e cresciuti nel pieno rispetto del valore della produzione artigianale.

Con impegno quotidiano lavoriamo al Progetto LA SPIGA , spinti dalla passione e dalla ricerca costante dei migliori prodotti che pretendono i nostri clienti.

Sfide che ci pongono costantemente sotto pressione, ma ci stimolano a migliorare continuamente il nostro lavoro e il nostro livello.

The Coach House Restaurant

Once a Coach house to the nearby Manor, this hidden restaurant tucked away in the grounds of the Garden Centre has an old world charm all of its own and has been a favourite for  discerning diners for nearly thirty years.

A wide choice of excellent dishes are on the menu with our produce fresh from the market daily. Our fine wine list complements the menu perfectly, and a special two-course menu is available at lunchtimes.

Ruxley Manor Garden Centre, within which lies The Coach House restaurant.

Way back in 1080, William the Conqueror gave the land at Rokesle, as it was then known, to his half-brother, Odo, Bishop of Baieux. He rented this out to a certain Malgerius who assumed the name Malgerius of Rokesdale. At that time, eight knights commanded by William were given the task of defending Dover Castle and Malgerius did his annual twenty-day stint.

To this day, you still enter Dover Castle through the Ruxley gate.

Down the ages, various families have occupied the Manor House. Gregory de Rokesdale became Lord Mayor of the City of London from 1274 to 1285, this being perpetuated in a tablet on the wall of Lloyds Bank in Lombard Street. The present house dates from the 17th Century with later additions, although some of the interior is probably 15th or 16th Century.

To the right of the house is a large Mulberry tree which goes back to between 1610AD and 1615AD, when it was decreed in James 1st time that all landowners should be encouraged to produce silk. However, silkworms only enjoyed white mulberries and, unfortunately, the blue variety was planted.

Today, the Manor House has been converted into a Children’s Day Nursery under the name of Grace’s, she being the last member of the family to live there.

It's a family thing.......

Volare Restaurants Ltd has been trading since 2007, and still improving the customer experience as the restaurant has been refurbished with a new suspended ceiling and a new bar... We always strive to give you the best Italian produce at  good value for money during these times of economic hardship. Partners and Hosts Onofrio Maimone and Cinzia Lopalco say "When you come to our place, we'll make all efforts to make sure you feel like you are on holiday in Italy for as long as your stay!".

Onofrio is from Sicily and has an extensive experience in catering. He's been working in the trade all his life and is the chef/proprietor of the establishment.

Cinzia is from Puglia and has been managing holiday farms, where she's learnt the trade and all the aspects of day to day running of kitchen and front of house. In the kitchen, Jason Maimone is our head chef in the kitchen and has followed in Onofrios footsteps and has learnt everything there is to know from his father, he is very talented, very motivated to keep high standards and eager to takeover one day along with his wife Victoria Maimone who is once again very talented in the front of house and she strives to make everyone feel welcomeand enjoy their meal or special occasions with us

At Volare, we have excellent food and a large Wine list to choose from. We source our ingredients locally and the rest is imported from Italy through a network of leading distributors.All this mixed with family style service gives you a true authentic taste of real Italy!
